Definition

le lapin à la cabriole : rabbit ‘à la cabriole’ (literally a leaping rabbit)

une cabriole : a caper, a cabriole, an agile jump nom féminin

The phrase à la appears all over French menus. It means ‘with’, ‘cooked with’ or ‘containing’. For example: Le poulet à l’orange (chicken cooked with orange). However, in this case, we should take the expression with a pinch of salt. Lapin à la cabriole is simply a rabbit that is leaping around (doing ‘cabrioles’).
