Prepositions used for telling the time

When giving or telling the time, no preposition is needed:
- Quelle heure est-il ? - Il est 17 heures. -What time is it? It's 5pm.
When giving the time of a specific event, we use the preposition à:
Je viendrai te voir à 15 heures. I'll come and see you at 3pm.
J’ai un rendez-vous demain matin, à 8 heures. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 8am.
When specifying the length of time before a future event, we use the preposition dans

Je viendrai te voir dans trois heures. I'll come and see you in 3 hour's time / in 3 hours.
Il est 8 heures. Mon rendez-vous est dans deux heures, à 10 heures. It is 8am. My appointment is in 2 hours, at 10am.
