le plus-que-parfait du subjonctif : the past perfect subjunctive, the pluperfect subjunctive (grammar) nom masculin

The past perfect subjunctive is used (though relatively infrequently) after certain constructions in the past. For example: Je ne pensais pas qu’il l’eût fait (I didn’t think that he had done it).
