Quelques particularités de prononciation - Les consonnes finales

Many final letters which are consonants (t, d, z.,etc.) aren’t pronounced in French.
d d’accord okay
p un coup de pied a kick
s sans moi without me
t salut hi

When e+z, e+t, e+d are situated at the end of the word, they are generally pronounced é (AY).
ez le nez the nose
et un cabinet médical a medical centre
ed un pied a foot

At the end of a word, e+r is pronounced é (for verbs and masculine nouns). Sometimes the er is pronounced r (generally when it’s either an adjective or a feminine noun).
aimer to like, to love
jouer to play
envoyer un courrier to send a letter
la mer the sea
cher ami dear friend
