Verbs ending in -re in the conditional present

The present conditional consists of the root of the future tense and the endings of the imperfect (-ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient).

For verbs ending in -RE in the infinitive, such as prendre (to take), remove the final -E before adding the endings. The same goes for boire (to drink), dire (to say), mettre (to put), craindre (to fear), etc.
