Irregular forms of the superlative

Reminder: The superlative is formed using a definite article (le, la, les) and the adverb plus or moins.
Qui travaille le plus ici ? Who works the most here?
As ever, you'll encounter some exceptions:
• We don't say le plus bon, but le meilleur:
C’est la meilleure nouvelle de l’année ! It's the best news of the year!
- C'est qui les meilleurs ? - C’est nous ! -Who are the best? We are!
• We don't say le plus bien but le mieux:
Qui cuisine le mieux ? Muriel ou Marcel ? Who cooks the best? Muriel or Marcel?
• We can say le plus mauvais or le pire.
C’est le plus mauvais livre de Victor. It's Victor's worst book.
C’est le pire restaurant de la ville. It's the worst restaurant in town.
